press credentials
Journalist's access pass
Press credentials are official documentation—typically a badge, pass, or letter—identifying someone as a journalist authorized to access events, venues, or areas restricted from the general public.
News organizations issue their own credentials, but access to government buildings, sports events, or disaster zones often requires credentials from the relevant authority: She flashed her press credentials at the security checkpoint.
Also called a press pass.
