neuropath
Nerve disease sufferer
A neuropath is a person who suffers from a disease of the nervous system, or a practitioner who treats such conditions through methods focused on nerve function.
The term appears in older medical literature but has largely been replaced by more specific terminology.
Not to be confused with neuropathy, which refers to the nerve disorder itself, or with psychopath, which describes a personality disorder.
