remembering
Holding in mind
Remembering is the act of bringing something back to mind—recalling people, events, facts, or feelings from the past.
It can be deliberate I was just remembering our trip to Maine or involuntary, triggered by a smell or song.
Remembering also implies honoring or commemorating: a day for remembering the fallen.
