netgun
Mesh-firing restraint device
A netgun is a device that launches a net to entangle and capture a target without lethal force.
Used by wildlife biologists to catch animals for tagging or relocation, and by law enforcement as a non-lethal tool for subduing suspects: Officers used a netgun to bring down the fleeing suspect.
Some models are handheld; others mount on helicopters or drones.
