Vehicle side steps
Nerf bars are tubular side steps mounted along the lower edges of trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles.
They provide a step for easier entry and protect the vehicle's sides from scrapes and minor impacts.
The name comes from their original purpose—allowing racing vehicles to bump or "nerf" each other without serious damage.
The lifted truck came with chrome nerf bars.
