mythographer
Writes about myths
A mythographer is someone who collects, records, or interprets myths.
The term applies to ancient writers who compiled mythological traditions and to modern scholars who study them: The Greek mythographers preserved stories that would otherwise be lost.
Related to but distinct from a mythologist, who analyzes myths more theoretically.
