separateness
State of division
Separateness is the quality or state of being separate—distinct, apart, or independent from other things.
The word often carries emotional weight: She felt a painful separateness from her peers.
It can describe physical distance, but more often captures psychological or social distinction: the separateness of their lives, a sense of separateness from the natural world.
