millenarian
Awaits paradise's arrival
Millenarian describes belief in a coming thousand-year period of divine rule, peace, or transformation—drawn from Christian prophecy about Christ's reign on earth.
The term extends to any ideology anticipating radical, often sudden societal transformation: millenarian movements, millenarian fervor.
Such beliefs typically emerge during times of crisis or upheaval.
As a noun, a millenarian is one who holds these beliefs.
