midlines
Bodies' symmetry dividers
Midlines are imaginary lines dividing something into left and right halves.
In anatomy, the midline runs vertically through the center of the body, separating left from right: The incision was made just to the left of the midline.
In design and typography, midlines mark the middle height of lowercase letters.
