mid-season
Middle of campaign
Mid-season refers to the middle portion of a defined period, especially in sports or television.
In sports, mid-season is roughly halfway through the schedule: a mid-season trade, mid-season form.
For television, it describes shows premiering in January or February rather than the fall: a mid-season replacement.
The term can also apply to agricultural growing periods or fashion cycles.
