reblooming

Producing second blossoms

Reblooming describes plants that flower more than once in a growing season.

Most flowering plants bloom once annually, but reblooming varieties produce additional cycles: reblooming irises, reblooming roses.

The term appears mainly in gardening contexts, often as a selling point for nursery stock.

Also called remontant.
