microdots
Miniaturized secret images
Microdots are tiny photographs reduced to the size of a printed period, used historically for espionage to conceal documents in plain sight.
The term also refers to small doses of LSD on paper or gelatin, each dot containing a single hit: We scored some microdots at the concert.
In typography, microdots are minute punctuation marks.
