GHB
Illicit sedative compound
GHB is gamma-hydroxybutyrate, a central nervous system depressant.
In small doses it produces euphoria and lowered inhibitions; larger doses cause sedation, memory impairment, and unconsciousness.
It has legitimate medical uses but is better known as a party drug and date-rape drug—colorless and nearly tasteless, it can be slipped into drinks undetected.
