satori
Sudden spiritual clarity
Satori is a sudden moment of enlightenment or spiritual awakening in Zen Buddhism—an intuitive flash of insight into one's true nature and the nature of existence.
Unlike gradual understanding, satori arrives all at once, often triggered by meditation, a teacher's words, or an unexpected event.
After years of practice, he experienced satori while watching leaves fall.
