Bedside health display
A medical monitor is an electronic device that tracks and displays a patient's vital signs—heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, respiratory rate.
In hospitals, monitors at bedsides provide continuous readings and sound alarms when values fall outside normal ranges.
The term also applies to portable devices used at home: Her medical monitor detected an irregular heartbeat.
