LCD panel
Liquid crystal display
An LCD panel is a flat display screen that uses liquid crystal technology to produce images.
The liquid crystals don't emit light themselves but selectively block a backlight to create visible pixels.
LCD panels appear in televisions, computer monitors, laptops, and countless other devices: The laptop's LCD panel cracked when I dropped it.
Often shortened to just LCD or panel in context.
