master race
Supposed supreme ethnicity
A master race is a group believed to be inherently superior to all others and therefore entitled to dominate them.
The term is most associated with Nazi ideology, which held that "Aryans"—particularly Germanic peoples—constituted such a race.
Today the phrase appears almost exclusively in condemnation of racist ideologies or in ironic mockery: These master race types can't even spell.
