Nuremberg Laws
Reich citizenship decrees
The Nuremberg Laws were antisemitic statutes enacted in Nazi Germany in 1935, stripping Jews of citizenship and prohibiting marriage or sexual relations between Jews and non-Jewish Germans.
They provided the legal framework for persecution that culminated in the Holocaust.
The term now serves as a reference point for state-sanctioned discrimination: Critics compared the legislation to the Nuremberg Laws.
