makis
Seaweed-wrapped rice rolls
Makis is the plural of maki, a type of sushi roll where rice and fillings are wrapped in seaweed (nori) and sliced into rounds.
The fillings vary—fish, vegetables, avocado—and the roll may be inside-out with rice on the exterior.
We ordered a plate of makis to share.
