futomaki
Fat seaweed cylinder
Futomaki is a type of thick-rolled sushi, typically two to three inches in diameter, wrapped in nori (seaweed) with vinegared rice surrounding multiple fillings—vegetables, egg, fish, or pickled ingredients arranged in colorful cross-section.
The name means "fat roll" in Japanese.
We ordered futomaki and split it between us.
