handroll
Seaweed-wrapped cone treat
A handroll is a cone-shaped piece of sushi made by wrapping nori (seaweed) around rice and fillings like fish, vegetables, or roe.
Unlike sliced rolls, a handroll is eaten whole, held in the hand: I ordered a spicy tuna handroll.
The shape resembles an ice cream cone.
Also spelled hand roll.
