log10
Base-ten logarithm
Log10 is the base-10 logarithm function—the power to which 10 must be raised to produce a given number.
Log10 of 100 is 2 because 10² equals 100.
Common in scientific notation, decibel calculations, and pH measurement, where orders of magnitude matter more than precise values.
Also written log₁₀ or simply "log" in many contexts.
