log off

Exit the system

Log off means to end a session on a computer system or online service, typically by closing your account connection: Don't forget to log off when you leave the library computer.

The phrase dates from early computing when users literally signed a log.

Log out means the same thing.

Informally, logging off can mean disengaging from online activity generally: I'm logging off for the weekend.
