antilogarithm
Power from exponent
An antilogarithm is the number that corresponds to a given logarithm—essentially the reverse operation.
If the logarithm of 1000 (base 10) is 3, then the antilogarithm of 3 is 1000.
In practical terms, finding an antilogarithm means raising the base to the power of the logarithm: The antilogarithm of 2 in base 10 is 100.
Before calculators became widespread, tables of antilogarithms were essential tools for scientists and engineers performing complex calculations.
