locking up
Securing the premises
Locking up covers the act of securing something with a lock.
You lock up a house before leaving, lock up valuables in a safe, or lock up a business at closing time: We're locking up early tonight.
To lock someone up is to imprison them: They're locking up the wrong guy.
In printing and typesetting, locking up means securing type in a frame before printing.
