linespacing

Text row gaps

Linespacing is the vertical distance between lines of text, measured from baseline to baseline.

Tighter linespacing fits more text on a page but reduces readability; looser linespacing creates white space and improves legibility.

In typography, the term is often interchangeable with leading: Increase the linespacing to make the document easier to read.
