linear perspective
Vanishing point technique
Linear perspective is a technique for creating the illusion of three-dimensional depth on a flat surface.
Parallel lines appear to converge toward vanishing points on the horizon, and objects diminish in size as they recede.
Developed systematically in Renaissance art, it remains fundamental to realistic drawing, painting, and architectural rendering: The artist used linear perspective to make the hallway appear to stretch into the distance.
