laminated wood
Glued veneer sheets
Laminated wood is wood made by bonding multiple layers of timber together with adhesive, creating material stronger and more stable than solid wood of the same dimensions.
The layers may run in the same direction for strength, or alternate grain directions to resist warping.
Plywood is the most familiar example: laminated wood beams span the gymnasium ceiling.
