Laminated paper is paper sealed between layers of clear plastic film, protecting it from moisture, wear, and tearing.
The process makes documents more durable and wipeable: laminated menus, laminated ID badges, laminated maps for hiking.
Once laminated, paper cannot be written on or easily recycled.
