Stationary skiing pivot
A kickturn is a skiing or skateboarding maneuver for reversing direction while stationary or nearly so.
In skiing, it involves lifting one ski and pivoting it 180 degrees, then bringing the other ski around to match.
Skateboarders execute kickturns by pressing down on the tail of the board to lift the front wheels, then pivoting on the rear wheels to change direction.
