keystoning

Trapezoidal image warping

Keystoning is the distortion that occurs when a projector isn't perpendicular to its screen, making the image wider at one end—shaped like a keystone, the wedge-shaped stone at the top of an arch.

Most projectors have keystone correction to compensate: I had to adjust the keystoning because the image was trapezoid-shaped.
