irreligiousness
Lack of faith
Irreligiousness is the quality of being indifferent or opposed to religion.
The term suggests not merely a lack of faith but an active disregard for religious practice, belief, or institutions: His irreligiousness troubled his devout parents.
Unlike atheism, which specifically denies God's existence, irreligiousness may simply reflect apathy toward spiritual matters.
