ionospheric
Charged atmospheric region
Ionospheric describes things relating to the ionosphere—the layer of Earth's atmosphere extending roughly 50 to 600 miles above the surface, where solar radiation ionizes gas molecules.
The ionosphere reflects certain radio waves, making long-distance radio communication possible: ionospheric conditions affect shortwave reception, ionospheric disturbances during solar storms.
