mesopause
Upper atmosphere boundary
The mesopause is the boundary between the mesosphere and thermosphere, occurring at roughly 80-100 kilometers above Earth's surface.
It marks the coldest temperatures in the atmosphere, dropping below -100°C.
Above the mesopause, temperatures begin rising again due to absorption of solar radiation.
