intranet
Private company network
An intranet is a private computer network accessible only to members of an organization, typically a company or institution.
It functions like a miniature internet—using the same underlying technology—but restricted to internal users: The employee handbook is on the company intranet.
Intranets typically host internal communications, shared documents, and organizational tools.
