inscriber
Carves into surfaces
An inscriber is a person or device that inscribes—writes, carves, or engraves words or designs onto a surface.
A jeweler is an inscriber when etching initials into a ring; a machine that etches serial numbers onto metal parts is also an inscriber.
The inscriber carefully carved the dedication into the marble.
