indoor soccer
Walled pitch sport
Indoor soccer is a variant of soccer played inside an arena, typically on artificial turf surrounded by walls.
The enclosed space keeps the ball constantly in play, creating a faster-paced game with more scoring opportunities than outdoor soccer.
Teams are smaller, usually five or six players per side.
Also called arena soccer or futsal, though futsal has distinct rules and is played without walls.
