hyperbaric
Above normal atmosphere
Hyperbaric describes conditions involving pressure greater than normal atmospheric pressure.
The term appears most often in medical contexts: a hyperbaric chamber or hyperbaric oxygen therapy treats decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, and certain wounds by exposing patients to pure oxygen at elevated pressure.
The diver was rushed to a hyperbaric facility.
