Hookahs are water pipes used for smoking tobacco, typically featuring a bowl, a water chamber that cools and filters the smoke, and one or more flexible hoses with mouthpieces.
The practice is traditional in Middle Eastern and South Asian cultures, where sharing a hookah is often social: We spent the evening at a hookah bar.
