hook and loop
Ripping fabric closure
Hook and loop is a fastening system using two strips of fabric—one covered with tiny hooks, the other with soft loops—that grip when pressed together and pull apart with a ripping sound.
The generic term for what's commonly called Velcro (a trademark): The jacket closes with hook and loop instead of a zipper.
