osteopathy
Structural body therapy
Osteopathy is a system of medical practice based on the theory that many diseases can be treated by manipulating bones, muscles, and joints.
Osteopathic physicians (DOs) in the United States receive training equivalent to MDs, though with additional emphasis on the musculoskeletal system.
In other countries, osteopathy may be practiced as an alternative therapy rather than mainstream medicine: She sees an osteopath for her back pain.
