handbarrow

Two-person stretcher cart

A handbarrow is a flat rectangular frame with handles at each end, carried by two people to transport loads.

Unlike a wheelbarrow, it has no wheel—the carriers bear the full weight between them.

The design is ancient and simple: They carried the stones on a handbarrow.
