godsister
Baptismal sponsor's daughter
A godsister is the daughter of one's godparent, or alternatively, the goddaughter of one's own parent.
The relationship is not biological but arises from the spiritual kinship created through baptism or similar religious ceremonies.
Like godbrother, the term sees limited use compared to godparent or godchild, since the connection between godchildren of the same sponsor—or children of godparents—carries less formal recognition.
My godsister and I grew up attending the same church.
