gasline

Stove supply tube

A gasline is a pipe or system of pipes that transports gas—typically natural gas for heating and cooking, or gasoline for fuel delivery.

The word also refers to a queue of vehicles waiting at a gas station, especially during shortages: The gaslines during the 1970s oil crisis stretched for blocks.

Also spelled gas line.
