gasify
Turn to vapor
To gasify is to convert a solid or liquid into gas, typically through heating or chemical reaction.
The term appears most often in industrial contexts: coal gasification produces synthetic fuel, and waste-to-energy plants gasify garbage.
The plant gasifies biomass to generate electricity.
