gabled roof
A-frame house top
A gabled roof has two sloping sides that meet at a central ridge, forming a triangular section (the gable) at each end.
This is the most common roof shape in residential architecture, efficient at shedding rain and snow.
The house had a classic gabled roof with dormer windows.
