freecycle
Donate unwanted possessions
Freecycle is the practice of giving away unwanted items for free, typically through online networks, rather than discarding them.
The term comes from Freecycle Network, a nonprofit founded in 2003 to reduce waste by connecting people who have things with people who need them: I freecycled my old couch instead of taking it to the dump.
The verb means to give something away through such channels.
