fist raise
Solidarity arm signal
A fist raise is a gesture of solidarity, defiance, or triumph—the arm extended upward with a clenched fist.
It became iconic through the Black Power movement of the 1960s, notably at the 1968 Olympics, and remains a symbol of protest and resistance: The crowd answered with a collective fist raise.
Athletes and activists use it to signal unity with a cause.
