open palm
Hand showing nothing
An open palm is a hand held flat with fingers extended and the inner surface visible, as opposed to a closed fist.
The gesture typically signals peaceful intent, honesty, or receptiveness: He approached with open palms to show he meant no harm.
An open-palm strike or slap uses this hand position rather than a punch.
