expansion pack
Extra game content
An expansion pack is additional content released for an existing video game, board game, or card game—new levels, characters, storylines, or features that extend the original.
Unlike sequels, expansion packs typically require the base game to play: The expansion pack adds three new campaigns.
The term applies broadly to any supplemental material that builds on an existing product.
